Knettishall Heath 12/01/20

From the Planner:

This was my first attempt at planning a Level C event and I was very fortunate to have been allocated such a beautiful area. I have thoroughly enjoyed my trips to Knettishall over the past three months. The mixture of heather, bracken, silver birches and Scots Pine is wonderful. The area has an extensive path network and I tried to keep the more technical courses off the paths where possible. I hope that you all enjoyed the courses.

Many thanks to Phil Halford for updating the map and to Kim Eden for controlling the event. Kim’s comments throughout were very supportive and pointed me in the right direction. The event itself went very smoothly thanks to Will Harrison and his band of helpers from SUFFOC who quietly assembled on Sunday morning and got on with their tasks with effortless efficiency.

We were blessed with wonderful weather for early January and this certainly helped swell the numbers running the courses. I am sorry that I underestimated the numbers of maps on the more technical courses and am most grateful to those that allowed their maps to be recycled so that everyone could run their preferred choice of course. I will arrange the maps to be placed on the website so that anyone can download a pdf of their course.
