Congratulations to all those who took part in the British Sprint & Middle Distance Championships last weekend. SuffOC's Tim Harrison achieved 11th place in the Sprint Men's Open 'A' final in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on the Saturday & went on to win the Bronze medal in his age class in the Middle Distance event in Wendover Woods on the Sunday.
Congratulations to our Juniors who took part in this year’s Peter Palmer Junior Relay competition at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield on 10th September. Of the 25 teams participating in the event, two were from SuffOC (the second entered jointly with SMOC). Following on from their success in 2016, the SuffOC first team were again awarded the Norwich Anniversary Trophy for the highest-placed small club - definitely a cause for Celebrations!
Congratulations to our SuffOC members - Barney, Matthew, Tim & Chloe - selected to be part of the team representing East Anglia at the Junior Inter Regional Championships on the North Downs in September.
Congratulations to the 21 members who competed at the Scottish 6 Day event - Deeside 2017 - earlier this month. There's a table summarising our club results here and various photos have been collected & uploaded in a Facebook album.
Holywells Park is holding an afternoon of activities for families on Wednesday 16th August & our club will be supervising the orienteering section. It will be an excellent way to try orienteering - you can start whenever you like during the afternoon & you'll be given a printed map & some instructions. The challenge could to plan a route to find checkpoints in a particular order, or you could decide to do do a "find-as-many-controls-as-you-can" in a given time. Further details can be found here.
