There have been successful Xplorer sessions for younger families at our Needham Lake event & also during the Holywells Park activities yesterday. There will be further chances to "have a go" over the next few weeks:
The Walton Chasers club, which is hosting the CompassSport Final this October, has already circulated preliminary information about the event, to be held in Abraham's Valley, Cannock Chase. Sarah is busy collecting names of those who plan to compete for the club, so please email her at captain@suffoc.co.uk to add yourself to the list.
We have combined SuffOC/NOR teams travelling out to Finland for this weekend's Jukola & Venla relay races. The Venla, or women's relay, starts at 12:00 BST on Saturday & the Jukola (men's relay) at 21:00 BST. Details of the courses, terrain, maps & results tracking can be found on the Jukola website. Congratulations to Barney for being selected for the JROS training camp at Lagganlia near Aviemore this summer. Only 24 Juniors (M/W14s) from across the country obtain places at this camp, so there has been stiff competition at the qualifying events which included the JK & the British & regional championships.
