In this anniversary year - 50 years of the JK and 30 years since it was held in East Anglia - we have 30 members travelling up to Yorkshire for the JK this Easter Weekend and have entered a record number of relay teams - 8 in total - for the final day's racing. Our best wishes to all our competitors in both the individual and team events.
Congratulations to all those who took part in the Midlands Championships on 28th February in Sherwood Forest and in particular to Matthew Clark, who won the M16 class. Our Juniors have also been in action at the Yvette Baker Trophy heat at Hockham on 6th March. The team was placed third overall, with Matthew Clarke and Barney Steventon-Barnes both winning their classes.
Congratulations to our SuffOC competitors who won their age classes in the 2016 East Anglian Championships at our event in Tunstall Forest yesterday. The four, who were presented with their trophies by EAOA chairman Paul Beckett, were: Matthew Clarke (M16), Tim Harrison (M18), Lizzie Rosewell (pictured, W35) and Chris Gay (W65).
The prize-giving for the East Anglian Championships will be held towards the end of the event, hopefully before 2pm. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, could all 2015 age class winners please ensure that their trophies are engraved and brought along to our Tunstall Forest event on 14th February? Presentations for the 2015 East Anglian League class winners will also take place at the same ceremony.
